Administrative Law

In general, administrative law deals with how the courts oversee the decision-making processes of bodies deriving power from legislation. For the most part, the scope of Administrative law jurisdiction is limited to government departments, government or government funded agencies, tribunals and the like.

Depending on the circumstances and the construction and expertise of a particular administrative decision making body, there are two standards of review (the correctness or reasonableness of a decision) that can be exercised by the courts ruling in this area.

If you have been negatively impacted by the decision of a government board, agency or tribunal or any body publicly operated or funded, for what might be regarded as a public purpose, you may benefit from legal advice on possible recourse.
